Systems integration & automation in Adelaide

If your team is copying data between systems, emailing spreadsheets around or running the same process by hand every day, something's not connected properly. We integrate your business tools so data flows where it needs to, and automate the repetitive work that's eating your time.

What is systems integration?

Systems integration is connecting the separate tools your business runs on — your accounting software, CRM, POS, project management, email and everything else — so they talk to each other and share data automatically. Automation takes it further by removing the manual steps: invoices generated from quotes, stock updated from sales, reports built from live data. The result is less double-handling, fewer errors and more time for work that actually matters.

What we cover

Software connections

Linking your existing tools — accounting, CRM, POS, email, project management — so data moves between them without manual effort.

API integrations

Custom API connections between cloud platforms and business applications, built to your specific data flow requirements.

Workflow automation

Automating repetitive processes like invoicing, data entry, notifications and approvals — things that shouldn't need a person every time.

Data sync & migration

Keeping data consistent across systems, or moving it cleanly from one platform to another without losing records.

Reporting automation

Live dashboards and automated reports that pull from multiple sources — no more copying into spreadsheets.

Legacy system bridging

Connecting older systems that weren't designed to talk to anything else, so you get more life from existing investments.

Who it's for

  • Businesses running multiple platforms that don't talk to each other.
  • Teams spending hours on data entry, copy-pasting between systems or manual reporting.
  • Growing businesses whose processes haven't scaled with them.
  • Anyone who's bought good software but isn't getting the full value because nothing's connected.

How it works

  1. Map your systems. We audit what tools you use, where data lives and where the bottlenecks and double-handling sit.
  2. Design the connections. We plan which systems need linking, what data flows where and what can be automated.
  3. Build and test. Integrations and automations built, tested with real data and validated before going live.
  4. Go live. We switch on the connections alongside your team, with support on hand to catch any issues.
  5. Monitor and refine. Ongoing monitoring to make sure data flows correctly and adjustments as your business changes.

Why WaTo for integration & automation

  • We understand the business side, not just the technical side — so we automate what actually saves you time.
  • Practical solutions — we use the right tool for the job, whether that's a simple connector or a custom API build.
  • Adelaide owned since 2001, working with local businesses across dozens of industries.
  • We manage the whole IT picture, so integrations fit with your security, backups and infrastructure.
  • A real person answers when something needs adjusting — not a ticket queue.

Systems integration questions

Can you connect our existing software or do we need to replace things?

We almost always work with what you've already got. Most modern platforms have APIs or connectors that let them talk to other systems — and even older software can usually be bridged.

How long does an integration project take?

Simple connections can be done in days. More complex, multi-system integrations with custom automation typically take a few weeks. We scope it clearly upfront so there are no surprises.

What if something breaks after go-live?

We monitor integrations and respond quickly if a data flow stops or a connection drops. Most issues are caught before they cause problems.

Is automation worth it for a small business?

Often more so. Small teams feel the cost of manual work the most. Even automating one or two processes — like invoicing or stock updates — can free up hours every week.

Ready to connect your systems?

Tell us what tools you're running and where the pain is — we'll show you what's possible.

No two businesses are the same — so nothing we do is off-the-shelf. Every solution is built around yours, and kept simple.

Our story

Built in Adelaide, since 2001

WaTo Consulting was founded by John Watson in Adelaide in 2001. Over two decades it's earned a name for tailored work across a wide range of industries — helping businesses of every size run more smoothly, work more efficiently and grow steadily, without blowing the budget or disrupting the day-to-day.

Emma Watson (née Dickenson) played a significant part in shaping what WaTo became. She brought real expertise and a clear vision for where it could go — expanding the business, bringing in new systems and fresh thinking, and raising the standard of how things are done. A great deal of what WaTo is, we owe to her.

Today it's all tailored, never off-the-shelf — IT & Digital, Business & Web Hosting, built around what each client actually needs. Over the years those areas have come together under one roof: our IT & Digital, Currency, Business and Web work (through Whosts.au) now all sit within WaTo Consulting — one team, one standard, looking after the lot.

When you work with us, you're not a client — you're a partner.
