Business email with Microsoft 365 in Adelaide

A @gmail.com or @outlook.com address doesn't exactly scream professional. We set Adelaide businesses up with Microsoft 365 so your team gets proper business email on your own domain, plus Teams, calendars and Office apps — all managed locally so you're not stuck on hold with a call centre overseas.

What is business email?

Business email gives your team individual email addresses using your own domain name — like sarah@yourbusiness.com.au instead of sarah.yourbusiness@gmail.com. Built on Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online), it includes a 50 GB mailbox per user, shared calendars, contacts and integration with Teams and Office apps. It's how most Australian businesses handle email today, and it's far more reliable and secure than free email services.

What we set up

Custom domain email

Your team gets professional email addresses on your own domain — first impressions matter and a branded address builds trust with customers.

Microsoft 365 licensing

We match the right Microsoft 365 plan to your business size and needs so you're not paying for features you'll never use.

Mailbox setup and configuration

Every user set up with the right permissions, shared mailboxes for info@ and accounts@ addresses, and distribution groups where needed.

Mobile and desktop sync

Email, calendars and contacts synced across phones, tablets and computers so your team stays connected wherever they're working.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC records

Domain authentication configured properly so your emails land in inboxes instead of spam folders and nobody can impersonate your domain.

Teams and Office apps

Video calls, chat, Word, Excel and the rest of the Microsoft suite set up and ready for your team to use from day one.

Who it's for

  • Small businesses still using free email and ready to look more professional.
  • Growing teams that need shared calendars, contacts and collaboration tools alongside their email.
  • Businesses already on Microsoft 365 that need someone local to manage it properly.
  • Any Adelaide business that wants reliable email without dealing with Microsoft support themselves.

How it works

  1. Work out what you need. We look at how many users you have, what devices they use and which Microsoft 365 plan makes sense for your business.
  2. Set up your domain and DNS. Your domain pointed to Microsoft 365 with all the right DNS records — MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC — so email flows correctly from the start.
  3. Create mailboxes and shared addresses. Individual mailboxes for each team member, shared mailboxes for general enquiries, and distribution groups configured as needed.
  4. Migrate existing email. If you have email history with another provider, we move it across so nothing gets lost in the switch.
  5. Ongoing management. Adding new users, resetting passwords, troubleshooting delivery issues — we handle the admin so you can focus on your business.

Why WaTo for business email

  • We've been setting up business email in Adelaide since 2001 — we know the common pitfalls and how to avoid them.
  • Local support means a real person picks up the phone when something's not working, not an overseas call centre.
  • We set up domain authentication properly so your emails actually arrive instead of landing in spam.
  • One provider for your email, hosting and IT — no finger-pointing between three different companies when something breaks.
  • Straightforward pricing with no hidden fees for adding users or making changes.

Business email questions

Why not just use Gmail or free Outlook?

Free email works for personal use but looks unprofessional for business. You also miss out on shared calendars, proper admin controls, and the ability to manage who has access when staff leave. A branded email address builds trust with customers from the first point of contact.

Can you move our existing emails across?

Yes. We migrate your existing email history, contacts and calendar data from most providers — including Gmail, GoDaddy, and other hosting platforms — so nothing gets lost in the switch.

How much does Microsoft 365 cost per user?

It depends on the plan. Basic email-only plans start around $6 per user per month, while plans with the full Office suite are around $18 per user per month. We'll recommend the right plan based on what your team actually needs.

What happens if we need to add or remove users?

We handle it for you. Adding a new starter or removing a departing staff member takes minutes and we make sure access is managed properly — including revoking access to shared resources when someone leaves.

Ready to get proper business email?

Give us a call on (08) 7123 0805 or drop us a line and we'll have your team set up on Microsoft 365 without the hassle.

No two businesses are the same — so nothing we do is off-the-shelf. Every solution is built around yours, and kept simple.

Whatever suits you — a fixed contract, a monthly retainer, prepaid blocks of hours, or simple hourly rates. You pick the model that fits your business, and we keep it transparent with no surprise bills.

Do you only do IT support?

No — IT & Digital, cyber security, websites & hosting (via Whosts.au), business solutions and currency equipment, all from one local team. One number to call.

Our story

Built in Adelaide, since 2001

WaTo Consulting was founded by John Watson in Adelaide in 2001. Over two decades it's earned a name for tailored work across a wide range of industries — helping businesses of every size run more smoothly, work more efficiently and grow steadily, without blowing the budget or disrupting the day-to-day.

Emma Watson (née Dickenson) played a significant part in shaping what WaTo became. She brought real expertise and a clear vision for where it could go — expanding the business, bringing in new systems and fresh thinking, and raising the standard of how things are done. A great deal of what WaTo is, we owe to her.

Today it's all tailored, never off-the-shelf — IT & Digital, Business & Web Hosting, built around what each client actually needs. Over the years those areas have come together under one roof: our IT & Digital, Currency, Business and Web work (through Whosts.au) now all sit within WaTo Consulting — one team, one standard, looking after the lot.

When you work with us, you're not a client — you're a partner.
