What are custom order displays?
Tailored kitchen display systems (KDS) that replace paper dockets with real-time digital order management, designed for your specific workflow, menu layout, and venue setup.
What's included
Custom layout design
Screen layouts designed around your menu categories, prep stations and workflow rather than a generic template.
Real-time order flow
Orders appear instantly from POS to kitchen screens, with colour coding, timers, and bump-to-complete.
Multi-station routing
Route drinks to bar, mains to kitchen, desserts to pastry. Each station sees only what it needs.
Hardware selection & install
We source splash-rated screens, mounts, and bump bars suited to commercial kitchen environments.
Who it’s for
- Cafés and restaurants replacing paper dockets with a digital kitchen workflow.
- Pubs and venues routing orders across bar, kitchen and pastry stations.
- Multi-station kitchens where each section should only see its own orders.
- Venues whose generic KDS templates never quite matched how the kitchen actually runs.
How it works
- We audit your order flow. A look at how orders actually move through your venue, from POS to pass, before any screens are chosen.
- Design the layout around your menu. Screen layouts built for your categories, prep stations and rush-hour reality, not a generic template.
- Source and install the hardware. Splash-rated screens, mounts and bump bars suited to commercial kitchens, installed and cabled properly.
- Configure routing and train the team. Orders routed from your POS to the right stations, with colour coding, timers and bump-to-complete, and your staff shown how to drive it.
Why WaTo
- We've rolled out POS and kitchen display systems across Adelaide venues since 2001, so we know what survives a Saturday night rush.
Questions
Does it work with our existing POS?
That’s the first thing we check in the audit. We’ve rolled out POS and kitchen display systems across Adelaide venues since 2001, and the display setup is designed around what your POS can send, not the other way around.
What happens if a screen fails during service?
Hardware is chosen for commercial kitchen conditions (splash-rated, properly mounted), and because we supplied and installed it, support is one call to the same team. Orders keep flowing from the POS in the meantime.
Can different stations see different orders?
Yes, that’s the point of multi-station routing. Drinks route to the bar, mains to the kitchen, desserts to pastry, and each screen shows only what that station needs to make.
