POS rollout projects for Adelaide cafes and hospitality
WaTo delivers end-to-end POS rollouts for cafés, restaurants and hospitality venues. We don't sell you a terminal and leave. We plan the layout, install the hardware, configure the software, connect the printers and payment terminals, train your staff and make sure the whole system works properly before your next service. Adelaide-based, hands-on, and available for single-site or multi-venue rollouts.

What is a POS rollout?
A POS rollout is a project to install and go live with a new point-of-sale system, or replace an existing one. It covers everything from choosing the right hardware and software through to menu configuration, payment terminal integration, receipt printer setup and staff training. Done well, it means your team is taking orders and processing payments on a reliable system from day one, not debugging tech issues during the lunch rush.
What we deliver
POS hardware installation
Terminals, iPads, stands, cash drawers and customer-facing displays positioned and cabled to suit your counter layout and service flow.
Software and menu configuration
Your POS platform configured with your full menu, modifiers, pricing tiers, table maps and reporting categories, ready to take orders.
Payment terminal integration
EFTPOS and tap-to-pay terminals connected to your POS so transactions flow through automatically, without double-handling or manual reconciliation.
Receipt and kitchen printer setup
Front-of-house receipt printers and back-of-house kitchen printers installed, networked and configured to route orders to the right station.
Network and connectivity
Wi-Fi or cabled network configured to keep your POS, printers and payment terminals connected reliably, even during peak service.
Staff training and go-live support
Hands-on training for your team before launch, plus on-site support during your first service to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Who it's for
- New cafés and restaurants being fitted out that need their POS environment built from scratch.
- Existing venues switching POS platforms and needing a clean, planned migration with minimal downtime.
- Multi-site hospitality groups rolling out a consistent POS setup across all venues.
- Café owners who want someone to handle the full technical side of their POS, not just the software subscription.
How it works
- We scope your venue and workflow. A visit to your site to understand your counter layout, kitchen flow, payment needs and any existing infrastructure we need to work with.
- We recommend the right setup. Hardware, software and printer recommendations based on your service style, menu complexity and budget, not whatever earns us the biggest margin.
- We build everything off-site. POS terminals configured, menus loaded, printers tested and payment terminals paired, so everything arrives at your venue ready to install.
- We install and go live on-site. Hardware mounted, cabled, connected and tested end to end, including a full dry run with real orders before your first service.
- We support you through launch. On-site support during your opening service, plus remote availability for the first few weeks while your team gets comfortable.
Why WaTo for POS rollouts
- We handle the full project (hardware, software, networking, printers and training), not just one piece of the puzzle.
- We work with multiple POS platforms including Square, Lightspeed, Impos and OrderMate. We recommend what suits your venue, not what pays us the most.
- Every rollout includes proper kitchen and receipt printer setup, because a POS that can't print dockets is useless in a café.
- Adelaide-based with on-site installation and go-live support. We're there when it matters.
- We've been delivering hands-on IT projects for small businesses since 2001.
Café POS rollout questions
How long does a POS rollout take?
A single-site café rollout typically takes one to two weeks from scoping to go-live. We aim to do the physical installation and switchover in a single day (ideally on a closed day or before you open) so there's no disruption to service.
Can you migrate our menu from our old POS?
In most cases, yes. If your old system can export menu data, we'll bring it across. If not, we'll rebuild it from your current menu. Either way, you won't be re-entering everything by hand.
Do we need a new internet connection?
Not necessarily. We'll test your existing connection and Wi-Fi to make sure it's reliable enough for POS, payments and printers. If it's not up to scratch, we'll recommend a fix before we go live.
What if something breaks during a busy service?
We provide priority support during your first weeks of operation. If something goes wrong, call us and we'll either fix it remotely or get to your venue as fast as we can.
