What are commercial coin machines?
Commercial coin machines count, sort and sometimes bag loose coins at high speed (hundreds to thousands of coins per minute). They're built for businesses that handle cash daily, not the coin jar on your kitchen bench. Self-service models like the CoinMax let customers deposit coins directly, while back-office machines like the Money Machine 2 let your team process floats, reconcile tills and prepare bank deposits quickly and accurately.

Who it's for
- Banks and credit unions processing coin deposits across branch networks.
- RSLs, clubs and casinos dealing with high volumes of gaming coins daily.
- Retail chains, supermarkets and large stores reconciling multiple tills.
- Transport operators, parking companies and vending businesses collecting coin revenue.
How it works
- We assess your coin volumes. A conversation about how much coin you handle, how often, and where bottlenecks sit in your current process.
- We recommend the right machine. You get a clear recommendation for the machine that fits your throughput and budget.
- We install and calibrate on-site. Your machine is set up, tested with live coin and configured for your specific workflow and reporting needs.

Coin machine questions
What's the difference between the Money Machine 2 and the CoinMax?
The Money Machine 2 is a back-office workhorse: your staff feed coins in and it sorts, counts and reports. The CoinMax is a self-service unit designed for customers or members to deposit coins themselves, typically in a branch or club foyer. We'll help you work out which suits your setup.
How fast can these machines count?
It depends on the model. The CoinMax processes up to 4,100 coins per minute. Back-office sorters like the Money Machine 2 handle several hundred per minute with full denomination sorting. We'll match throughput to your actual daily volumes.
Do you service coin machines we didn't buy from WaTo?
In most cases, yes. We service and maintain a range of commercial coin equipment regardless of where it was originally purchased. Give us the make and model and we'll confirm.
Can coin machines integrate with our banking or POS system?
Many commercial models support data export and can feed totals into your reconciliation or deposit workflow. We'll check compatibility during the assessment and configure the integration as part of the install.
