Wi-Fi & UniFi deployment in Adelaide

Patchy Wi-Fi costs your team time every single day. We deploy Ubiquiti UniFi systems across Adelaide offices, warehouses, retail spaces and multi-site businesses — properly surveyed, neatly installed and centrally managed. No ongoing licence fees, no dead spots, and a local team to call when you need changes.

What is a UniFi deployment?

UniFi is a range of business-grade networking gear made by Ubiquiti — access points, switches and security gateways that all talk to each other through a single management dashboard. A proper deployment means surveying your space, placing access points where they'll actually do the job, running the cabling, and configuring the whole system so it's fast, secure and easy to manage. Unlike many business Wi-Fi systems, UniFi has no monthly licensing fees.

What we set up

Site survey & design

We walk your space, check for interference and design access point placement based on real-world conditions — not just a brochure.

Access point installation

UniFi access points mounted, cabled and powered properly with clean cable runs and tidy wall or ceiling mounts.

Network configuration

VLANs, guest networks, bandwidth limits and security policies set up so staff and visitors get the right access.

UniFi controller setup

Your UniFi controller configured for central management — locally hosted or cloud-based, depending on what suits.

Switches & gateways

UniFi switches and security gateways deployed alongside your access points for a consistent, manageable stack.

Ongoing management

Firmware updates, configuration changes and monitoring handled for you — we can manage it remotely or hand you the keys.

Who it's for

  • Offices in Adelaide with dead spots, slow Wi-Fi or consumer-grade gear they've outgrown.
  • Warehouses, workshops and large spaces that need reliable coverage across a big footprint.
  • Retail, hospitality and venues that need separate guest and staff networks with proper controls.
  • Multi-site businesses that want all their locations managed from one dashboard.

How it works

  1. We survey your space. A physical walkthrough to measure signal, identify interference and work out how many access points you actually need.
  2. We design the layout. Access point positions, cable routes and network architecture planned out and quoted before we touch a thing.
  3. We install the hardware. Access points, switches and cabling installed neatly — usually after hours or over a weekend to avoid disruption.
  4. We configure everything. SSIDs, VLANs, guest networks, security settings and the UniFi controller all set up and tested.
  5. We hand it over properly. Full walkthrough with you, documentation provided, and ongoing management available if you want us to look after it.

Why WaTo for UniFi

  • We've deployed UniFi across Adelaide offices, warehouses and multi-site businesses — we know the gear inside out.
  • One local team handles the survey, cabling, configuration and ongoing support — no subcontractors.
  • No licence fees with UniFi means lower ongoing costs compared to other enterprise Wi-Fi platforms.
  • Adelaide owned since 2001 — we're here for the install and here when you need changes down the track.
  • We design for real-world use, not just specs on paper — your Wi-Fi works where your people actually work.

UniFi & Wi-Fi questions

Why UniFi instead of other business Wi-Fi brands?

UniFi gives you enterprise-grade performance without ongoing licence fees. The gear is reliable, the management dashboard is straightforward, and it scales easily from a small office to dozens of sites. For most Adelaide businesses, it's the best value going.

How many access points does my office need?

It depends on the size of the space, the wall materials and how many devices connect. A typical open-plan office might need one access point per 100–150 square metres. We'll survey your space and tell you exactly.

Can you set up a separate guest Wi-Fi network?

Absolutely. We'll create a guest network that's isolated from your business systems, with bandwidth limits and a captive portal if you want one — standard with UniFi.

What if we already have some UniFi gear installed?

No problem. We'll audit what's there, update the firmware, fix any configuration issues and add to it if needed. We work with plenty of setups that started as DIY.

Ready to fix your Wi-Fi?

Tell us about your space and we'll let you know what a proper UniFi setup looks like — and what it costs.

No two businesses are the same — so nothing we do is off-the-shelf. Every solution is built around yours, and kept simple.

Our story

Built in Adelaide, since 2001

WaTo Consulting was founded by John Watson in Adelaide in 2001. Over two decades it's earned a name for tailored work across a wide range of industries — helping businesses of every size run more smoothly, work more efficiently and grow steadily, without blowing the budget or disrupting the day-to-day.

Emma Watson (née Dickenson) played a significant part in shaping what WaTo became. She brought real expertise and a clear vision for where it could go — expanding the business, bringing in new systems and fresh thinking, and raising the standard of how things are done. A great deal of what WaTo is, we owe to her.

Today it's all tailored, never off-the-shelf — IT & Digital, Business & Web Hosting, built around what each client actually needs. Over the years those areas have come together under one roof: our IT & Digital, Currency, Business and Web work (through Whosts.au) now all sit within WaTo Consulting — one team, one standard, looking after the lot.

When you work with us, you're not a client — you're a partner.
