Router & firewall configuration questions
Do I really need a firewall if I've already got antivirus?
Yes. They do different jobs. Antivirus catches threats on individual machines. A firewall controls what traffic gets in and out of your whole network. You need both, and the Australian Cyber Security Centre recommends a layered approach.
How often should firewall rules be reviewed?
At a minimum, every six months. If your business changes frequently (new staff, new software, new locations), we'd suggest quarterly. We can build reviews into a support plan so they don't get forgotten.
Can you set up remote access for our staff?
Absolutely. We configure VPN connections so your team can work from home or on the road with a secure, encrypted link back to the office network.
