Microsoft Teams setup & phone systems in Adelaide

Get Microsoft Teams set up so your team can actually use it — calls, chat, meetings and file sharing that work together, not against each other. We handle the configuration, the phone system and the ongoing support, so your business stays connected whether people are in the office, at home or on the road.

What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams is the communication hub inside Microsoft 365 — it handles calls, video meetings, instant messaging and file sharing, all in one place. Instead of juggling separate apps for phone, email and chat, your team gets one spot where conversations, documents and meetings live together. It also works as a full business phone system, replacing your old desk phones with something that works on laptops, mobiles and meeting rooms.

What we set up & look after

Teams Phone System

A proper business phone system through Teams — auto attendant, call queues, hold music and extension dialling, without the old hardware.

Channels & workspaces

Channels organised around how your teams and projects actually work, not just dumped in one big chat.

Video meetings & rooms

Meetings that are easy to join, with screen sharing, recording and calendar integration sorted.

File sharing in channels

Documents shared inside the conversations they belong to — no more hunting through email attachments.

Mobile & remote access

Teams on phones, tablets and laptops so your people stay connected from anywhere.

Integration with Microsoft 365

Teams tied into Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive so everything works together, not in silos.

Who it's for

  • Businesses wanting to replace an old phone system with something modern that runs through Teams.
  • Teams working across office, home and site who need calls, chat and files in one place.
  • Offices already on Microsoft 365 but not getting much out of Teams beyond basic chat.
  • Anyone tired of paying for a separate phone system, video platform and messaging app.

How it works

  1. A quick chat. We look at how your team communicates now and what's not working.
  2. A plan and a quote. The right Teams setup — including phone system options if you need them.
  3. We build it out. Channels, calling, meeting rooms and integrations configured around your business.
  4. Numbers ported across. If you're moving phone numbers, we handle the port so nothing drops.
  5. Looked after. Ongoing support, changes as your team grows, and a real person to call when something's not right.

Why WaTo for Microsoft Teams

  • A real person answers — not a ticket queue.
  • We set up Teams around how your business works, not a generic template.
  • Phone system, calling and channels done properly — not half-configured and left.
  • One local team for IT, web, hosting and more — one number to call.
  • Adelaide owned since 2001, supporting businesses across SA and Australia-wide remotely.

Microsoft Teams questions

Can Teams replace our office phone system?

Yes. Teams Phone handles incoming and outgoing calls, auto attendant, call queues and voicemail — all through the app on desktops and mobiles. We can port your existing numbers across.

We already have Teams but nobody really uses it — can you help?

Absolutely. Most Teams rollouts fail because they're switched on but never set up properly. We reorganise channels, configure the useful features and show your team how it actually helps.

Do we need Microsoft 365 to use Teams?

Teams works best as part of Microsoft 365, where it ties into Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive. There's a free version, but for a business you'll want the full integration.

Can people use Teams on their own phones?

Yes. The Teams app works on iPhones, Android, laptops and tablets — your team stays connected wherever they are.

No two businesses are the same — so nothing we do is off-the-shelf. Every solution is built around yours, and kept simple.

Our story

Built in Adelaide, since 2001

WaTo Consulting was founded by John Watson in Adelaide in 2001. Over two decades it's earned a name for tailored work across a wide range of industries — helping businesses of every size run more smoothly, work more efficiently and grow steadily, without blowing the budget or disrupting the day-to-day.

Emma Watson (née Dickenson) played a significant part in shaping what WaTo became. She brought real expertise and a clear vision for where it could go — expanding the business, bringing in new systems and fresh thinking, and raising the standard of how things are done. A great deal of what WaTo is, we owe to her.

Today it's all tailored, never off-the-shelf — IT & Digital, Business & Web Hosting, built around what each client actually needs. Over the years those areas have come together under one roof: our IT & Digital, Currency, Business and Web work (through Whosts.au) now all sit within WaTo Consulting — one team, one standard, looking after the lot.

When you work with us, you're not a client — you're a partner.
