Performance dashboards for currency equipment — Adelaide, national reach

WaTo builds dashboards that give you a clear, live view of how your currency equipment is performing across every site. Machine uptime, throughput, error rates, maintenance status — all in one place, updated automatically. Your operations team can spot problems before they cause downtime, and your finance team gets the data to make informed equipment decisions. Adelaide-based, building dashboards nationally since 2001.

What are performance dashboards?

A performance dashboard pulls data from your coin machines, note counters and scales and presents it in a visual format — charts, tables and alerts — that tells you at a glance how your equipment is performing. You can see which machines are processing the most volume, which are throwing errors, which are overdue for servicing and how your cash throughput compares across sites. It turns raw machine data into information your team can act on.

What we build

Uptime and availability tracking

See which machines are running, which are offline and how total uptime compares across sites and time periods.

Throughput reporting

Volume processed by each machine — coins counted, notes handled, total value — broken down by day, week or month.

Error and jam monitoring

Error rates, jam frequencies and reject counts tracked over time to identify machines trending towards a breakdown.

Maintenance status

Last service date, next scheduled service and overdue maintenance flagged clearly so nothing gets missed.

Multi-site overview

All your sites on one screen — compare performance, spot outliers and allocate resources where they're needed most.

Alerts and notifications

Automatic alerts when a machine goes down, error rates spike or maintenance is overdue — sent to the right person, not everyone.

Who it's for

  • Operations managers responsible for currency equipment across multiple sites who need visibility without visiting every location.
  • Finance teams tracking equipment utilisation and maintenance costs for budgeting and asset management.
  • Bank branch networks and retail groups wanting consistent reporting across their currency equipment fleet.
  • RSLs, clubs and casinos needing documented equipment performance data for compliance and operational oversight.

How it works

  1. We understand what you need to see. A conversation about which metrics matter to your team — uptime, throughput, costs, maintenance, compliance or a mix.
  2. We connect your equipment. Machines configured to send data to the dashboard platform — via network, file export or integration middleware.
  3. We build the dashboard. Your views, your metrics, your sites — designed to answer the questions your team actually asks.
  4. We set up alerts. Notifications configured so the right people hear about problems at the right time — not noise, just signal.
  5. We refine over time. As you use the dashboard, we adjust views, add metrics and fine-tune alerts based on what proves useful.

Why WaTo for performance dashboards

  • We know currency equipment data — what machines actually report, what the numbers mean and what's worth watching.
  • Dashboards built for operations and finance people, not technicians — clear, practical, actionable.
  • We handle the full chain: equipment, integration, dashboard build and ongoing support — one provider.
  • Adelaide-based with national capability — dashboards that cover one site or a hundred.
  • IT and currency expertise in one team means we understand both the equipment and the systems that display the data.

Dashboard questions

Does our equipment need to be networked?

Ideally, yes — machines connected to your network can send data automatically. If networking isn't possible at some sites, we can work with file-based exports or manual uploads, though the data won't be as real-time.

Can we see dashboards on mobile?

Yes. Dashboards are browser-based and work on tablets and phones as well as desktop computers — useful for operations managers who aren't always at a desk.

What if we only have a few machines?

Dashboards are valuable at any scale. Even with three or four machines, having uptime, error rates and maintenance status in one view saves time and catches problems earlier.

How much does a dashboard cost?

It depends on the number of machines, sites and complexity of the views you need. We'll scope it out and give you a clear quote — no vague pricing tiers or hidden platform fees.

Ready to see how your equipment is really performing?

Let us build you a dashboard that turns machine data into answers — clear, practical and updated automatically.

No two businesses are the same — so nothing we do is off-the-shelf. Every solution is built around yours, and kept simple.

Our story

Built in Adelaide, since 2001

WaTo Consulting was founded by John Watson in Adelaide in 2001. Over two decades it's earned a name for tailored work across a wide range of industries — helping businesses of every size run more smoothly, work more efficiently and grow steadily, without blowing the budget or disrupting the day-to-day.

Emma Watson (née Dickenson) played a significant part in shaping what WaTo became. She brought real expertise and a clear vision for where it could go — expanding the business, bringing in new systems and fresh thinking, and raising the standard of how things are done. A great deal of what WaTo is, we owe to her.

Today it's all tailored, never off-the-shelf — IT & Digital, Business & Web Hosting, built around what each client actually needs. Over the years those areas have come together under one roof: our IT & Digital, Currency, Business and Web work (through Whosts.au) now all sit within WaTo Consulting — one team, one standard, looking after the lot.

When you work with us, you're not a client — you're a partner.
