Where your website lives
When you host with us, it's fair to ask where your website and email actually are, who can get to them and what happens if something breaks. Here's the plain answer. Everything sits on Australian servers, it's backed up every day to separate storage, and the people looking after it are in Adelaide.

The short answer
WaTo Consulting hosts websites and email on servers in Sydney and Melbourne data centres, so data stays in Australia. Every account runs on SSD storage with free SSL, is kept separate from other accounts, and is backed up daily to offsite storage. The servers are run and supported by WaTo's own team in Adelaide.
Why location matters
Where your site is hosted affects three things. Speed: the closer the server is to your visitors, the faster pages load. Law: data held in Australia sits under Australian privacy law. Support: if the people running the servers are in your time zone, problems get looked at during your working day, not overnight.
What sits behind every plan
Australian servers
Websites, databases and mailboxes hosted in data centres in Sydney and Melbourne. Your data doesn't leave the country.
Daily offsite backups
Every account backed up every day to storage kept separate from the hosting servers, so one failure can't take out both.
SSD storage
Solid-state drives for quicker page loads and database queries than old spinning disks.
Accounts kept apart
Each hosting account is isolated from the others, so a problem on one site can't spill into yours.
Free SSL everywhere
Certificates issued and renewed automatically on every domain, so every page loads over HTTPS.
Watched and patched
Servers monitored and kept up to date with security patches, with a public status page when there's an issue.

Who this page is for
- Businesses that need to know where customer data is stored, for privacy, insurance or a client's questionnaire.
- Anyone comparing hosts and wanting to know what's behind the plan, not just the price.
- IT managers and web designers checking our setup before moving client sites.
- Existing customers who want to understand what's already protecting their site.
What happens when something goes wrong
- We usually spot it first. Monitoring alerts our team to server problems, often before customers notice.
- You can check the status page. Known issues and planned maintenance are posted on our server status page.
- You can call us. Ring (08) 7123 0805 or open a ticket and you'll reach the team that runs the servers.
- We restore if needed. If files or a database are lost or damaged, we restore from the daily backup.
Why it matters who runs it
- We run our own hosting platform, so there's no reseller chain between you and the servers.
- The same team hosts, builds and repairs websites, so problems don't bounce between companies.
- Data stays in Australia, which makes privacy and client data questions simple to answer.
- Adelaide owned and operated since 2001.

Hosting platform questions
Where are your hosting servers?
In data centres in Sydney and Melbourne. Websites, databases and email are hosted here, and so are the daily backups and the first backup copy. Some extra backup options keep a copy overseas, and we tell you if yours does. Our support team is in Adelaide.
How often is my website backed up?
Every day, to offsite storage kept separate from the hosting servers. If you need something restored, open a ticket or call us. It's still worth keeping your own copy of anything you can't replace.
Is that fast enough if my customers are in Adelaide or Perth?
Yes. Visitors anywhere in Australia reach a Sydney or Melbourne server far faster than one overseas, and caching makes the difference between cities hard to notice.
Who can access my data?
Only our team, and only to run, secure and support the service. Each hosting account is isolated from the others.
How will I know if there's an outage?
Check our server status page, or call us. For planned maintenance that could affect your site, we let you know beforehand.
